Barry Bonds has never failed a steroids test...ever. I know this may be hard to believe for some of you who are manipulated by ESPN, and cannot think for yourself.
"But what about 'The Book'?" people ask me all the time.
'The Book' refers to "Game of Shadows"...which uses a bevy of anonymous sources to bash the Giants slugger about everything from domestic violence to his alleged use of performance enhancing drugs.
Now you have millions of people cheering some never was pitcher who does'nt want to give up 714, when he beans Bonds the other night. Now you have people holding up signs, throwing syringes and verbally abusing the man in front of his wife and children...real classy, retards.
How about waiting to see if there is any actual proof that Bonds cheated? Not that it matters. Let's face it, if Bonds did use steroids it just levelled the playing the field. If "90 percent of players were using steroids" as Ken Caminitti claimed, the Bonds was juicing to hit Home Runs off juiced pitchers. Remember, out of all the players nabbed in the testing policy, Ryan Franklin and Carlos Silva both tested positive...both are starting pitchers, both gave up Homers to Bonds...so do those Homers count?
When, and I do mean when, Barry passes Ruth this weekend in Oakland...he will actually be crushing Ruth. I estimate that Ruth would have barely surpassed the 500 Dinger mark if he played in this era. I will show you how I came up with this estimate:
Ruth faced pitchers who were on average pitching on 2.3 days rest. Barry faces starters who average 3.9 days of rest.
Ruth hit 142 Round trippers off pitchers who were starting on back to back days...this simply would never happen in this era...610 HR
Ruth hit significantly more Homers off righties then lefties...of course there are more right handed starters then left, so this is expected, so we must go by HR per at bat versus lefty...which was actual on average 4 more at bats than right handers.
So this means that if coaches put in left handed specialists like Mike Myers roughly once a three game series in the late innings...this would add up to 833.3 at bats over Ruth's 2500 game career.
Out of these 833 at bats, Ruth would have, statistically, hit a homer once every 21 at bats, instead of his usual one per 11.8 AB.
Ruth hit 70.5 HR in 833 AB by the 11.8 ratio. This would fall to 39.6 at the lefty ratio...cut 30 HR...542...12th all-time behind Mike Schmidt. And now we would be talking about Griffey Jr. passing the Babe as he would be right on his tale with 539.
And don't bother talking about what if Ruth used roids or had access to all the modern fitness equipment...he wouldn't have used it. The guy didn't care baout his body then and he wouldn't now. As a sign I saw in the stands at a Giants game read..."Babe did it on Beer and Hot Dogs...how did you do it?"...my point exactly...the fat old drunk doesn't hold a candle to Bonds.

If he had a problem with how he case and investigation was going, he should have gone up the ladder, following a chain command that has been put in place by those much smarter than he. Let's all remember, there has been no evidence that Nixon was in any way involved in the Watergate break in. He was only guilty of covering it up.

I read your blog after one of our NBC monitors saw my name being dragged through the mud on your silly web page. I felt I should respond to your baseless and slanderous allegations. First off, how dare you try to assume what my father thought of me. My dad disagreed with me plenty, but never said or wrote such hurtful things about his own son.
Back to the issue of creation in schools, I will respond with the following. This is an article I wrote after reading your blog. The state of Kansas is poised to vacate the Age of Reason. If all goes according to brain-addled plan, the Kansas school board will soon vote to water down the state’s public school science curriculum, minimizing Darwinian evolution and giving credence to a half-baked, non-scientific notion variously called “creationism” or “intelligent design.” We dealt with the issue recently on our show and I got a little steamed, as I’m prone to do when faced with shameless lies told at the expense of innocent children. Evolution, of course, has mountains of evidence on its side—the fossil record; genetics; observations of rapidly mutating species in nature in the lab, as well as some compelling new computer models. I challenged our creationist guest to provide similar evidence for his point of view. He couldn’t... because there isn’t any. But it got me thinking: education that ignores the facts could be a lot more fun.
For instance, generations of school kids have been taught that George Washington and his troops defeated the British after crossing the Delaware River in wooden rowboats. Plenty of scholarship backs that up. But we don’t have any of the actual boats, do we? Who’s to say that Washington didn’t ditch the watercraft and instead cross the river on the backs of specially trained dinosaurs? No evidence for that - but in Kansas, we don’t need no stinkin’ evidence.
How about math? The diameter of a circle equals twice the radius? Nah, in my new new math, the diameter of a circle equals time to order out for pizza. Doesn’t sound like mathematical science to you? Yeah... and what’s your point?
All that’s necessary for ignorance to triumph is that people who know better step aside and get out of its way. We might want to consider that as we sit back twiddling our thumbs and playing politics while Kansas spirals into the Dark Ages, dragging its unwitting children with it.

Newsweek Retracts Article...Rathergate anyone?

In a not so shocking turn of events, Newsweek magazine has retracted their report about the Quran being flushed down a toilet. Thanks Newsweek, only 20 people have died in riots thanks to your "article". Do you think the Muslims care that you retracted it...they don't. OUr soldiers are now mare hated then ever thanks to your yellow journalism. Everyone responsible for this article should be charged and convicted with the felony of inciting a riot. This is Rathergate all over again...nobody thinks of the ramifications of their actions anymore. Even if this story was true, does the news value of this report outweigh the value of a human life? Any journalist with integrity would have thought twice before publishing this, let alone publishing it with one shady source. This is journalism at its worst and this time it cost people their lives...Way to go Newsweek.

No Sympathy For Abu Graihb, or Gitmo Detainees

Newsweek magazine has reported that U.S. interrogators have been flushing copies of the Quran, the Muslim Holy Book, down toilets to "unsettle" muslim detainees. After the report was published, Muslims around the world have taken to the streets, rioting and protesting the U.S.'s treatment of terrorist detainees. Are you effing kidding me? Where is the outrage over Americans having their heads sawn off by these animals. If all these terrorists were doing to our hostages was flushing copies of the Bible down toilets I don't think we would be in the position we are today.
The fact of the matter is, Americans have already forgotten these images and in typical liberal fashion are apologizing for our treatment of these detainees. America was outraged by our soldiers treatment of prisoners at Abu Graihb prison in Iraq. I think Nick Berg, who had his head sawed off while still alive, would not be whining today if all he had to do was wear a pair of women's underwear on his head. You be the judge, which is worse, having your head chopped off or being forced to masturbate while being watched by a female prison guard. Sure Lynddie England was fugly but c'mon people. I think I would rather have to touch myself while being watched by the "Shake and Bake" girl then have my head sawed off by a bunch of jihadist animals, who scream prayers to Allah while killing their hostages.
There is simply no real nationalists left in this country. Remember the feeling after 9-11, when Americans rallied to proclaim this country the greatest in the world as we kicked ass in afghanistan? Now the same people we liberated from the Taliban, are protesting in the streets about some book being flushed down a toilet? gimme a break.
I feel no sympathy towards the prisoners at Abu Graihb or the detainees at Gitmo. We may flush books and make them wear women's underwear, but know this...These same people will saw yours, your family member's or your children's heads off at a moments notice. Islam is not as the liberal media likes to say "a religion of peace". Read the Quran, a practicing muslim is called to jihad, called to kill the infidels (us, by their definition). Just because some schmuck says these people are extremist doesn't make it so. The people who blow themselves up are true practicing Muslims. The muslims who call themselves peaceful are just luke warm muslims who don't really practice what the Quran teaches.
We as americans should take a lesson from these protestors in Afghanistan and take to the streets in riots everytime we lose a soldier in Iraq to one of these terrorists. We should start talking about how the terrorist are "mistreating" our boys over there. HOw about we post pics all over the news and internet of our hostages being slaughtered like pigs and maybe CBS could win an Emmy for their coverage of that instead of sympathy pieces for the animals at Abu Graihb...and I am not talking about the soldiers, Im talking about the prisoners. When I saw those pics from Abu Graihb, I slowly stood up in my living room and applauded. This is how the war will be won, an eye for an eye, and a naked human pyramid, for a naked human pyramid. The only difference is tha pyramid we made was of living bodies, who are still alive today.

Ridley Scott who offered viewers hits like Gladiator, lets the viewers down by Arabizing this piece of trash. Just as I thought when I saw there was going to be movie on the Crusades. Ridiculous! The film demonizes Christians while elevating Muslims. Media Bias Continues

The story of the so called "Runaway Bride" has dominated cable news for the last week or so. I am not going to waste my breath talking about how this woman did absolutley nothing wrong. If I leave for Vegas tomorrow and don't tell my wife where I'm going, is this somehow illegal? Get real people. Irresponsible yes, illegal, absolutley not. Yes her telling a lie about being kidnapped when she was found probably wasted the cops one hour lunchbreak while he interrogated her, but please let this story die!
Well I see that is not going to happen anytime soon. MSNBC is now reporting that the woman's fiance is a "born again virgin" meaning he has had sex but has stopped for the last 5 years and is waiting to get married. Now this dude's personal, religious decision is being broadcast all over the national news as a possible reason for the woman leaving. Yeah, whatever...she couldn't wait two more days to get it on so she just snapped? That is real bright MSNBC. It gets better though...these same people at NBC who claim gay people's bedroom habits are "No body's business" and that the government should "get out of their bedrooms", now has the gall to broadcast to the world this man's private decisions. This double standard is typical of the radically left mainstream media in this country. What's good for the liberal goose is not good for the right wing gander, apparently.
Please let this story relegate itself to the internet and stop clogging up the airways and preventing people from getting real news. This is a non story! Wags-OUT

Ron Reagan...Total Disgrace!

Somewhere in the hills of Southern California, Ronald Reagan is rolling over in his grave. The conservative former President was probably lucky he had alzheimers so he never had to listen to his worthless, whiny disgrace of an offspring spew his liberal hate speech on his ridiculous TV show.
Reagan Jr, or the lesser, much lesser Reagan as I like to call him was recently given his own panel show on MSNBC. This was a reward for his patently ridiculous coverage of the 2004 election with Chris Matthews and Joe Scarborough.
Reagan's clothes are enough to make one cringe, but his rhetoric is what will surely make any logical thinker blow chunks.
Take his show two days ago for instance...
Sporting his black mock turtleneck (do straight men really still sport these? What's next, a member's only jacket?) Reagan invited a Kansas pastor on the show to debate the man's state allowing creation to be taught in schools.
Pastor: "Ron, there are scientists out there who do not believe in evolution, I know this is embarassing for you but it is true"
Reagan: [screaming]"That is rubbish, you are lying pastor, this is another attempt by you religious types to...
Pastor: "Ron it IS true, we are having a convention tomorrow for these scientist"
Reagan: "You are a liar, this is nonsense, the clear majority of scientists believe and teach evolution because it is a fact!"
Pastor: "Yes the majority does believe in evolution, but not all of them and those are the scientists I am talking about, you have made my argument for me and I am not a liar, you just said a majority, meaning even you admit not all of them believe it."
Reagan: "That is not what I said, you are twisting my words, I said, I said...this what you religious types do you, twist my words. I said all not majority...
Well anyway you get my point. If any other group, homosexuals, blacks for instance was substituted for "religious types" you would see a firestorm of controversy.
For instance
"This is what you "black types" do you twist my words" or "This is another attempt by you "gay types". Can you only imagine the firestorm this would cause? Reagan picks on Christians because for some unknown reason this is the last acceptable bigotry. You can't make fun of midgets or criticize a minority but you can slander Christians all you want.
Ron Reagan perfectly examplifies this accepted bigotry. He is a crusader for the ACLU, only when they are defending a liberal, but he still carries the torch. He blames the religious right for every problem in America and tries to twist his father's actions as President to paint him as a liberal Republican. Not so my friend. Your father would disown you if he was still alive, he would take you to the woods and beat the liberalism right out of you with a stick and I would pay good money to watch him do it. Reagan's adopted brother Michael still represents his father well, hostin a conservative rasio show and on occasion blasting his retarded half brother on the air.

Giambi Comes To Town

CBS is airing a Sunday night special movie called "Riding the Bus with my sister" starring Andie Mcdowell as the sister of a retard. Who plays the retard you ask? None other than the looker and jabba the hutt look a like contest winner Rosie O'Donnell. This movie should be called "Riding the Short Bus With Jabba". What a disgrace.
American Idol continues to take hits from the media. Days after fan favorite and Alabama resident "Bo" Bice took a PR hit for cocaine, alcohol and marijuana charges, Paula Abdul is back on TV. People magazine has already reported on Abdul's drug use, now ABC is slated to run a primetime special on Wednesday, documenting her alleged sexual affair with one contestant. She also gave Corey Clark money for his career and coached him behind the scenes. Like anyone outside the geeks and teenyboppers even think this show is legit anyway. Who gives an S? American Idol is a total scam anyway. I love when they call certain contestants "Rockers", Im sorry fags, you lose your "Rocker" pass when you go on that pop show. Rocker? please.
Bud Selig wants to toughen up the MLB steroid policy. He now wants strike one to go up from 10 games to 50. strike two would be 100 games and strike three is a lifetime ban. Are you kidding me Selig? Obviously your tests are picking up legal supplements and prohormones, otherwise 48 broke ass minor leaguers wouldn't have tested positive for the juice. Feminizing Of America

In a day when everything that is "male" is being ridiculed, one would think that superheros would be immune to this treatment. Apparently that is wishful thinking. We all know that aggressive behavior is criticized, intolerance is not tolerated (?) and all other intrinically male attributes are demonized vy America's new "Culture of Estrogen". Hollywood is taking this to a new level. It is bad enough that a so called American hero like Christopher Reeves can't even ride a horse, but to put some femme looking skinny, soft metrosexual in the Superman movie takes the cake. This new "Superman" makes Reeves look like an actual superhero sitting in his wheelchair, or grave or whatever. How can you pick this little freak to be the new S man? Well you are not allowed to be muscular anymore, it would be too "manly" or ESPN may accuse him of using steroids. This is a perfect example of how this ridiculous behavior continues to breed more ridiculous results. Now we are being forced to have gay porn star looking actors as our superheroes? Now don't get me wrong, I don't really care abou this movie as I am not a geek. Only nerds and pedophiles are into the whole comic book scene. So if you are dissappointed by the choice of the new S man, take a deep breath, play some Dungeons and Dragons and maybe some chess and then you dorks can move on to harnessing actually having a life for once, maybe even talk to a girl or something crazy like that.
The real issue is the feminizing of America. Think how many American Heroes would have never come to be if they had grown up in today's culture. George Washington would have complained how cold it was and never would have crossed the Deleware, "I didn't want to mess up my Gucci shoes...they are fabulous."
Can you imagine war heroes from WWII being told they were too aggressive in school when they were kids? We would have had the "Weakest Generation" instead of the Greatest Generation, which is exactly what the children of today will grow up to be like. A bunch of doped up kids who complain about everything and do not display one iota of any characteristics that make men who they are.
I know you ladies want a sensitive guy and all that, but do you want to take responsibility for changing his diaper too? Men should be strong, occasionally aggressive and be able to stand for something. The men of tomorrow's generation will be more concerned with hair gel and shoes then they are with being a man. Alabama Drug Dealer Signs Away Rights

This week in Alabama, a man was arrested for "ditching" his bag of weed while being busted by police during a a drug deal. The man was then Mirandized and signed away his right to remain silent. The "man" in this story was only 12 years old. Does this make the offense somehow less illegal. The parents are furious...not at their pothead son, but at police for "making" him sign the document. Yeah Right, I'm so sure this kid does everything he is told. When his father tells him to quit smoking weed, does he immediatley do as he is told...I doubt it! When the cop asked him if he would sign the form, he had a choice. Nobody was holding a gun to his head and he signed it anyway. As I said before the parents are furious at local police for what they think is a violation of their rights. An unnamed source has said off the record that the child's father is an attorney who has harassed the force in the past about petty shit like this. The police knew exactly who the guy was, by name only. Maybe if this kid wasn't high on ganja he would have known better. It turns out the police can have the minor sign the form, they can arrest the minor without notifying the parent first, they don't even have to call mom and dad about the incident. Bravo to the Alabama cops for carrying out their duty. Do we really want police to have to call Dylan Kleibold's parents first before going into Columbine to stop a massacre? I don't think so. These parents are idiots who should spend more time focusing on bringing up their son and keeping him of drugs, then harassing local police. They clearly have enough to keep them busy with the little pothead. What the Hell is a 12 year old doing smoking weed anyway...good grief. I've been known to get down with smoke on occasion (not anymore, having kids of your own changes you a bit) but come on, I was probably 17 or 18 and did it through college. When I was 12 I was busy playing little league and having fun with my friends...fun that didn't involve illegal drugs for crying out loud. These parents need a serious reality check and hopefully at some point they will see what the real issue is here. Their pre-teen is smoking weed. Of course the parents think the cop planted it on him...yeah right dad, you effing moron.

An interesting article came out today on the Associated press wire service. Bowflex is for girls was the headline. The jist of the story was that Bowflex is marketing only to women because the "program" is designed for elderly females. Thats why their favorite commercial is the bowflex "grandma" the 50 year old with the great body. The article went on to claim that anyone who gets positive results from bowflex has high levels of estrogen in their bodies and will probably start crying during sad commercials and movies. After repping alone the day before, I took it easy and worked legs. Three solid sets at 305 of squats as well as some walkling lunges. Legs still sore, chest is screaming but I feel good. Diet is going well with no cheating so far. Whole wheat bagels with tuna, chicken breasts and steamed broccoli. Supplementing with ZMA, Mega Man, Animal Cuts and protein. Hit some Subshack last night but kept it clean with lots of vegetables, chicken and bacon on whole wheat. I'll post the results after weigh ins on Monday.

Update Week One

The first three days are in the books and here is an update. We are working an upper body, lower body split. My bench is still solid at 185, not nearly where I was but still solid. Chris is at 135 but but hit a solid 4 reps at 185 for his last set. Millican hit 135 then uppped it to 185 for his second and last sets! I am mildly sore in the upper body. Leg day was yesterday and since the House of Pagne doesn't have gadget training we kept it old school. 6 sets of squats, I worked up to 305 while Chris and BJ hit a respectable 135 and then 225. Then we hit three sets of walking lunges with dbells. No calf workout this time but we plan on hitting that tomorrow. By the way we also did a 1.5 mile run/walk which we all finished.
Upper body day two was this morning and I am dissapointed to say I hit the House alone today. BJ called at six am to tell me he couldn't walk after our leg day. He has now used his one off day for the 8 week program. I told him to call Chris and tell him we had cancelled but then decided to hit it alone. I feel great, my legs are screaming and I added some flyes to my upper day. Nutrition is going well, six small meals a day with protein, mega man and ZMA supplements. With my house poker game buy in I will be adding more supplementation in the coming weeks. We all weighed in as well so here is the stats
Wags...224 lbs, 22.3 % body fat
BJ.....281 lbs 38.3 % body fat
Chris...204 lbs 22.3 % body fat

As the summer approaches, Americans begin to flail away mindlessly in vain attempts to lose that winter weight. Lazy fat people everywhere think they can "hit the gym" for a few weeks and...bam, a six pack for the beach appears. Yeah, right. Losing weight and keeping it off takes dedication and knowledge...two things the majority of Americans lack in mass quantities. We have all seen the woman who goes about a deuce and half wandering aimlessly in the gym, occasionally flopping her fat ass on a "interesting looking" machine, pound out a couple of poor form reps and then tell her other fat friends she is "working out".
You sicken me Jabba. These people think that this is really all it takes and then can't figure out why they continue to pack on the fat as they are eating at the China Buffet.
"But I only had three plates instead of two, so technically I should lose 5 pounds"
Moron.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't have a chiseled six pack, but I will...that's the difference.
This brings me to the real point of this post. Myself and two other guys I know from work are starting an 8 week, hardcore training program tomorrow morning. Because I read everything I can get my hands on when it comes to working out, I have developed a sure fire weight lifting and cardio program to shed the weight and pack on sick amounts of muscle. In the coming weeks I will post updates on weight lost, poundage repped and miles run. Unlike the fatties out there, I understand that running alone...which many people think will give them great bodies...will not cut it. If you are shaped like a pear and you only do cardio, then you will be a smaller pear. To truly change your body shape you must use a weight training regimen. So here goes. B.J. Millican, his friend Chris and yours truly, The People's Champion as I am known at work, are embarking on "The Program". This website will keep us all honest. I plan to post a scathing blog on any of these guys who miss a workout for any other reason than a death in the family. If someone pukes...you will read about it, when I bench 300 pounds, you will read about it, when I run 3 miles in 24 minutes that's right, you will read about it.
Wednesday I will post the beginning weight, body fat percentage and before pictures of all three of us so be watching. Till then ... Wags Out.

The Untouchables Part Two

Due to the heavy response from Part One of this series, I will present to you the sequel. Your responses were great! I can't believe I left out the most protected individual of all. A gay, black, quarterback who sucks. Donovan McNabb has such protection, that it cost Rush his job at ESPN for criticizing him. Sure, ESPN can smear the names of baseball's greats ad naseum but when it comes to McNabb...no dice. The guy threw more picks than touchdowns in 03 and still made the Pro Bowl for crying out loud! This was due to the inordinate amount of spin done by ESPN because no one could critique his game for fear of losing their jobs. In conclusion I would like to say DONOVAN MCNABB SUCKS!
That brings me to the trashiest team in the history of major league baseball, The Trash Sox...I mean Red Sox. These trashy bastards win one Championship in 86 years and suddenly ESPN claims they are on "equal footing with Yankees". Absolutley ridiculous! If the Red Sox win the next 25 World Series in a row...then and only then will I eat crow and say they are on equal footing. Luckily the numbers don't lie and it will be 2090 before they win even one more. Thanks to the Good guy upstairs that I wont be on this earth when that occurs. I revel in the fact that I will never ever have to see Kevin Millar's trashy ass jumping up and down celebrating a championship.
Now we have Red Sox movies, Kevin Millar on "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy"(you would never see a Yankee on this show, simply because they are too busy winning 26 Championships) and Johnny "The Passion" Damon on the TV guide...what a choad. I wonder if the Nationals win the Series, ESPN will say they are on equal footing with the Yankees. I understand that nobody like the Yankees, but ask yourself why, and be honest...it's because they win...all the time!
In conclusion I would like to say THE RED SOX SUCK!

The Untouchables

Have you ever said someone was bad at what they do for a living, and then been harassed for voicing your opinion? Chances are you offended one of what I call "The Untouchables".
There are quite a few entertainers, politicians and protected minorities in this group, but entertainers really take the cake.
Let's face it, Stevie Wonder...sucks, Ray Charles...sucks, U2...sucks, The Rolling Stones...suck, I could go on but you get the drift. Say any of these in a crowded room and people will begin tearing at their clothes, pouring ashes on their heads and wailing "how could you say that". Part two of this experiment will be to ask any one of these MTV watching morons to name one Ray Charles song that wasn't in the movie that they saw so they could be cool around black people.
Whenever I preach the truth to these idiots about these no-talent-assclowns they all begin murmuring in the corner and pointing at me.
The fact is there are certain people who you cannot criticize, and I am not talking about the normal PC crowd of minorities and gays. These are entertainers who have been around so long that the sheeple of America think they are good. Longevity is not a sign of talent, its a sign that you are old. Ray Charles was not taking home multiple grammys when he was alive, but now suddenly he is rewarded for dying? C'mon you idiots, this guy sucks, yeah that's right...I said it.
Stevie Wonder, blind must mean good right? Negative Ghost Rider, this clown sucks too, but don't tell that to a crowd of gangsters at the Apollo who think they have to like him to be in touch with their "heritage". You can listen to rap music, you don't have to say Wonder is great. Run DMC sucks, nobody gets in their car, pops out the Lil John CD and bumps some DMC. They may claim to like them, but they really never listen to the music.
Now as an experiment I want all of you to drop one of these lines about these so-called-legends being terrible in a crowded room. Part two is I want you all to post who you think should be included in this list. If you post about one of these people and tell me I am crazy and that U2 is a great band or something, then turn off the MTV and start re-examining your pathetic, patterned lifestyle and start getting some original thoughts into that warped mind, you ridiculous moron. "Thou Doth Protest Too Much"

Once again ESPN has completely dropped the ball on the steroid story. As I watched with great anticipation the season opener between the beloved Yankees and the trashiest team in the league, I became so furious I nearly put the game on mute.
Joe Morgan, normally one of the best baseball announcers in the game, refused to enjoy the opener due to the 'roid story. No matter what happened on the filed, all Morgan could spew out of his mouth were allegations against MLB and their new policy. He didn't like that Alex Sanchez was busted, but that in the wrtiting it didn't actually say the word "steroids". Well you dumbass, maybe because he failed the test because of something other than steroids. ESPN is the only news agency that went on air saying it was steroids, not any other banned substance. Sanchez claims he takes only over the counter supplements, which may be true. Much of what you can buy at GNC will turn into 'roids in your body after consumption. Not good enough for Morgan, who, along with most of the ESPN crew, clearly knows nothing about supplementation.
The entire game was covered up by fullscreen graphics detailing the MLB policy, players who had been caught, how long they would be suspended and on and on and on.
Hey idiots, there is a great game between two of the best rivals in the game going on right in front of your fat faces. Who gives an eff about Alex Sanchez?
"Well he isn't huge and hitting home runs, was he really taking them?"
Just another clear example of ESPN's rudimentary knowledge of the juice. Steroids can make you less succeptable to injury (don't listen the "Reefer Madness" crowd saying it shrinks your balls and will give you brain tumors, that is completely false) they can also make you faster and more athletic.
38 minor leaguers were suspended this week for testing positive for "steroids". These guys make no money, and can ill afford 10 thousand dollars per month of the juice. The tests are clearly picking up on pro-hormone's and testosterone boosters that are available over-the-counter. Now ESPN will villify these young athletes for doing nothing other than spend the majority of their small paychecks on supplements to help them get to the next level and not doing anything illegal in the process.
Damn you Joe Morgan for ruining young men's careers, just so you can feel like you have done your part to protect baseball. Baseball didn't ask and doesn't need you hounding these players. You are ridiculous and so is your network. How would feel if someone made baseless allegations about you using 'roids while you played? Sure there is no proof you did...but hey, can really prove you didn't. Whenever I harped on something or denied an allegation fiercely, my mother would say, "Thou doth protest too much". Well Morgan, if you continue to harp about this all season long, I and others may beleive you are protesting a little too much about the juice and perhaps you are not telling us the whole story about your hall of fame career.

Minnesota School Shooting...Just another reason not to dope your kids

Although the story has fallen victim to the Terri Schiavo news blitz, the Minnesota school shooting is indeed a big story, but not for the reasons one may think.
The youngster killed 10 people in his school...that is reason enough to put this story in your A block on most TV stations. Just three more were killed in the massacre of Columbine High.
The real reason we should be talking about this tragedy, is the drug problem in America. I am not talking about marijuana, meth or any other illegal substance, I am talking about Riddalin, Prozac and other anti-depressants that we shove down our kids throats.
The child who shot up the school was, predictably, on Prozac. I am sure that he was also drugged when he was younger. Parents in America are lazy, plain and simple.
"My child is so hyper, I just can't keep up with him".
Oh, well your 8 year old is full of energy? That IS wierd you moron.
"I dropped Timmy off at daycare at six this morning and picked him up at eight. He is just so needy for attention, I can't handle it."
Well then you idiot, you might as well call it a day and give him up for adoption. If your child wants attention from you after 14 hours without you and you can't even handle that...you should never have had kids in the first place.
So then these parents-of-the-year nominees drug their children for the next 15 years of their life as a remedy for their own laziness. Is it really a wonder when these glassy eyed, doped up teens shoot up the schools they attend, in a desparate cry for attention from anyone?
Way to go Mom and Dad, who of course go on TV crying "how could this have happened? That is not the Timmy I know."
The Timmy you know? You don't even know Timmy. He has been raised by daycare workers, school teachers and after school programs while you furthered your own selfish careers.
Attention Defecit Disorder is the most overused diagnosis in this country. It IS attention defecit disorder, but it is not your child's disorder, it is yours. You as the parent are depriving your children of attention. No drug can replace a parent's love, and the proof is all over the news. School shootings are just a cry for attention from a kid who doesn't know his parents. Parents who don't care to know him either.

I can't believe this is happening in my America

With the pound of a gavel, a judge has sentenced a woman to death. This woman has committed no crime and never harmed anyone. However, Terri Schiavo’s life will slowly come to an end over the next two weeks, as she slowly starves to death without her feeding tube.
The final judgment was made by a circuit judge, but her death sentence was passed years ago by her despicable excuse for a husband. When Terri was brought to the hospital 14 years ago, Michael Schiavo was under a cloud of suspicion. Terri had suffered trauma to her neck, leading investigators to believe there may have been foul play. This theory was ruled out and the cause of her brain damaged was ruled a chemical deficiency.
Michael went on to win a 1.2 million dollar settlement, 300k went right in his pocket, the rest being earmarked for Terri’s rehab. Michael refused rehab for his wife and didn’t so much as clean her teeth for seven years. One nurse said he would come in every day and ask “Did the bitch die yet.”
Now Michael is shacked up with a woman who has fathered two of his children, they have been living together for 10 years, which makes Michael a bigamist in the state of Florida. You are considered common law married after 7 years. 500 thousand dollars of Terri’s rehab money is unaccounted for, which, if invested properly could be nearly a million by now.
Still Michael insists he loves his wife…wife? Who is the woman you are living with then if you love Terri so much you scumbag. Think about if this was your daughter people. I know the law says the husband has the legal right to make the life and death decision, bu just think if you were in the same position. If Terri’s father had any balls at all, he would take care Michael Schiavo with a pick axe and a garbage bag. Killing Michael would send Terri’s father to death row and leave the mother to make the decision to let Terri live. I for one would be able to make that sacrifice for my children in a heartbeat.

Vindicated, 'Roids Don't Make You An All-Star

After receiving thousands of letters because of my last post on steroids in the MLB, I feel the need to prove my point further. One such letter said the following: "Wags, steroids are not good for the game as you say. Steroids are cheating, plain and simple. A person who cannot make the bigs, can become an all-star overnight due to the use of illegal drugs."
Thou fool! I present to you the career numbers for two players who have admitted to steroid use. Jeremy Giambi, the retarded step-brother of roid monkey Jason Giambi. This clown never hit more than 12 home runs in a season, never had more than 57 RBI's and slugged a whopping .430! Speaking of retarded step-brothers of roid users, I give you the first ballot hall-of-famer Ozzie Canseco. This choad never, ever, ever hit a tater in the bigs. Thats right people, the juice didn't give this guy enough to knock even one home run in his illustrious career. He batted right at the Mendoza line and his slugging percentage wasn't much better. Oh and he drove in an astounding 4 runs in 3 years. Are you kidding me? You people call these guys cheaters? When someone cheats at cards, they win. When someone cheats the stock market, they get rich. When someone cheats they do better! There is no where to go for these guys statitically but up. Garth Brooks did better in the pros than Ozzie did.
After viewing this you could say, "well these guys wouldn't even have been in the majors without roids". Please stop kidding yourselves. Roids make you stronger, they don't make you a better baseball player.

First off let’s get a few things straight. I must provide my millions of readers a rebuttal to some visceral talking points that were thrown my way over the weekend. I laughed as I read the comment on the McGwire article. Let me please answer the allegations in order. Most of the comments can be rebutted quite easily. I am a journalist…my blog is commentary, as are the majority of blogs. The whole purpose of the blog is to be able to post your opinion, if you didn’t know this, than the problem rests in your court. This alone answers most of your allegations. On to your hero Arnold Scharzenegger. You say he came clean and left them alone after they were deemed illegal. This is not entirely true. “Ahnold” as you call him is the Managing Editor of two magazines that rpomote a sport that has no problems with steroid use, in fact it encourages them. The publications also have advertisements in the back that provide the readers with links, phone numbers and websites where they can purchase…that’s right, illegal steroids. McGwire Rumors Don't Taint '98 Season

The recent allegations against Mark McGwire do not in any way take away from his career performance or his dazzling success in the late 1990s.
Steroids or not, the 1998 season saved baseball and provided this writer with some of the best sports memories of his life. No body will ever get home from work on a hot summer day and immediatley ask how many singles Ichiro hit. That was the atmosphere in 1998 as America was captivated by the chase of immortality by Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire.
Who cares what supplements and performancing enhancing drugs they took? The fact is baseball is a skill sport that involves freakish hand eye coordination in addition to physical prowess. One cannot simply take steroids and get strong. It takes dedication, immense weight training and a knowledge of the supplements to actually benefit from the drug. You do not just inject yourself and boom! your 6 foot 5 and have 22 inch guns. Steroids are good for the game of baseball and anyone who says otherwise is not being true to themself. We love seeing a 450 foot homer, we love seeing pitchers strike out 10 batters in a game while pitching well past their 40th birthday. People who hate steroids are not fans of baseball, they are fans of controversy.
I remember sitting in Busch stadium in 1998 on a hot, muggy St. Louis night. You could feel the electricity in the air every time Mac stepped into the on deck circle. The fans rose to their feet every time he walked to the plate. Mild boos rained down when he roped a double down the line. And then in the 5th inning it happened. Mac took an 0-1 pitch and slaughtered it into the scoreboard in center field for number 47 en route to 70. The 462 foot blast will always be the greatest sports memory I have, 'roids or not. Seeing Jose Canseco pound pitches high into the night sky as the bash brothers dominated the late 80's was great.
I'll say it again...steroids are good for the game. The career of Mark McGwire should be lauded and he should be a first ballot hall of famer for what he did for the sport.

Bono For President?

The Los Angeles Times Editorial Page featured an interesting topic this past week. The notoriously liberal rag is promoting U2 frontman "Bono" as the next president for World Bank. This hippie hasn't put out a good album in the past decade and the Times wants to grant him the position of president at the prestigious World Bank. So what if the guy is involved with third-world poverty and social issues. He isn't even good at what he does now. Thank God his spokesperson was unavailable for comment about the editorial, or we might have been subject to a few of Bono's famous F-Bombs, while he described that all third world problems are the responsibility of the Bush administration. The Los Angeles Times lost most of its credibility as an unbiased news medium during the California Recall election, as it tried to smear Governor Schwarzenegger at the last minute. The rag then lost the rest of its credibility during the 2004 election, constantly slamming Bush and promoting that guy from Taxechusetts. Till next time,
